Banking stocks were among the top gainers on the BSE on Monday. At 2.55 pm Axis Bank was ahead of the pack, trading at Rs 571.55 per cent. The share extended its morning rally to notch up gains of 3.54 per cent on its previous close at Rs 552.
ICICI Bank also maintained its firm morning undertone to advance to Rs 314.80, up 3.35 per cent on its previous close at Rs 304.60.
BHEL steamed up 2.48 per cent at Rs 247.50 against Rs 241.50 at close last week.
HDFC spurted up 2.42 per cent at Rs 1,267.45 as against its Friday close at Rs 1,237.45.
Infosys advanced 2.28 per cent at Rs 1,019.45 as against Rs 996.75 at close in the previous session.
