Axis Bank vaulted over 5 per cent to emerge the top gainer on the BSE near the close on Monday. At 3.35 pm the share was trading at Rs 620.75, up 5.44 per cent on its previous close at Rs 588.70.
Hindalco Industries extended its morning gains in late trading on the BSE. It was trading at Rs 145.15, up 3.83 per cent on last week’s close at Rs 139.80.
Wipro also rallied further to trade at Rs 625.60. This represented a gain of 3.18 per cent on its previous close at Rs 606.30.
Larsen & Toubro also made further ground to hold gains of 1.76 per cent at Rs 1,730. The share had ended the previous session at Rs 1,700.10.
GAIL sailed up 1.70 per cent to trade at Rs 431.45. The share had closed last week’s session at Rs 424.25.
