The Reserve Bank of India on Tuesday notified that registered foreign portfolio investors and qualified foreign investors can now invest up to 12 per cent in Pipavav Defence and Offshore Engineering under the portfolio investment scheme. The central bank also said non-resident Indians and persons of Indian origin can invest up to 2 per cent in the company. Currently, FIIs own 4.79 per cent stake in Pipavav Defence and Offshore.
