LML has informed the exchanges that the company would be required to temporarily suspend production activity (of two-wheelers) from May 6 to enable it to check the adequacy and suitability of the present facilities for taking up the manufacturing of light three-wheelers and to re-align the plant and machinery and other work activity for the same, if so required. The shutdown will also help the company carry out maintenance work, which is overdue for long. “Barring unforeseen circumstances, the above is likely to take about three months time,” LML said in the statement. The stock of LML slipped 2 per cent at ₹7 on the NSE.
