NTPC trimmed some of its morning gains ahead of the close on the NSE on Wednesday. At 3.40 pm it was up 1.27 per cent at ₹115.75. It had closed Tuesday’s session at ₹114.30.
Banking stocks made their presence felt with State Bank of India advancing 1.15 per cent at ₹2,075.80. The stock had closed yesterday’s session at ₹2,052.20. IndusInd Bank was trading at ₹492.60, up 0.43 per cent on its previous close of ₹490.50.
BPCL came off its morning highs to hold gains of 1.04 per cent at ₹472.35. The stock had closed the previous session at ₹467.50.
Sun Pharma held a firm tone to trade at ₹630.75, up 0.74 per cent on its previous close of ₹626.10.
