The market regulator Securities and Exchange Bureau of India has directed FIIs to submit ODI / PN transaction reports and monthly summary by 10th of every month.
ODIs refer to offshore derivative instruments while PN means participatory notes. P-notes are a form of ODI that derive their value from an underlying Indian security.
However, this would be effective from October and the first such report will have to be submitted by November 10.
Earlier, FIIs were expected to submit only a monthly summary of the preceding month by 10th. However, they were allowed to submit transaction reports with a six-month lag earlier.
SEBI has allowed FIIs to submit transaction reports from December 2011 to April 2012 with a six-month lag. But, transaction reports from May to September have to be submitted along with the October report by November 10.
