Tata Consultancy Services emerged the top gainer on the BSE ahead of the close on Thursday. At 3.10 p.m. TCS was trading at Rs 2,135 as against Rs 2,103.80 at close on Wednesday. This represented a gain of 1.48 per cent.
Mahindra & Mahindra extended its morning gains to quote at Rs 906.90 as against Rs 896.25 at close yesterday. This was a gain of 1.19 per cent.
Sun Pharma Industries was quoting at Rs 617.65, up 1.08 per cent on the overnight close of Rs 611.05.
Sesa Sterlite edged lower to trade at Rs 188.80, up 0.69 per cent on the overnight close of Rs 187.50.
Tata Motors shed most of its morning gains by close. The stock was trading at Rs 376.40 as against Rs 376.05 at close yesterday, representing a narrow gain of 0.09 per cent.
