US stocks rallied on Wednesday as investors were upbeat over big earnings by blue chips Intel Corp and United Technologies Corp.
The Dow Jones industrial average jumped 186.79 points or 1.52 per cent to 12,453.54. The Standard & Poor's 500 was up 17.74 points or 1.35 per cent at 1,330.36. The Nasdaq Composite gained 57.54 points or 2.1 per cent to 2,802.51.
