Welspun India has secured an “interactive textile article and augmented reality system” patent. The company expects the patent to protect its new product line TILT. The patent covers a system that has textile material with a design motif and an augmented reality software application. Recently, Target Corporation, a US-based retailer, had terminated Welspun’s supply contract on quality issues, sending the company’s shares into a tailspin.
