The rupee fell by 6 paise to Rs 45.01 per US dollar in the early trade at the Interbank Foreign Exchange market today, weighed down by a weak opening in the stock market.



The domestic unit had shot up by 32 paise to end at a near two-month high of 44.95/96 per US dollar in the previous session on Tuesday.
