Mr Arun Kaul, Chairman & Managing Director, UCO Bank, recently inaugurated a Financial Literacy and Credit Counselling Centre (FLCC) at Bhadrak, Orissa. The Collector and Chairman of Zilla Parishad were also present, according to a release issued by the bank. Mr Kaul also visited Jalanga village adopted by the bank in December 2009 when the RBI Governor, Dr D Subba Rao, came to the village under RBI's outreach programme.
UCO adopted a three-year development programme for the village. The RBI Governor again visited the village a few days ago to review the progress. The village has 651 households and UCO Bank has ensured 100 per cent financial inclusion of the village by opening no-frills accounts for all the households, the release added.
