The United Forum of Bank Unions on Wednesday said that it has called for an All India Bank Strike on November 12 demanding wage revision and regulated working hours.
According to UFBU, the wage revision is due from November 2012.
This apart, to press their demands, the UFBU will go on a zonal relay strike.
The relay strike will begin December 2 onwards from the southern zone.
On December 3, it will be in the northern zone; followed by December 4 in the eastern zone and on December 5 in the western zone.
United Forum of Bank Unions represents five workmen unions and four officers’ association.
According to Association officials, Indian Banks’ Association offered only a 11.5 per cent increase in hike compared to 17.5 per cent offered in 2011-12.
