Women entrepreneurs have urged banks to shed their conservative attitude and provide easy and timely finance to them to set up and run their units.
The plea was made here on Thursday, the second day of the three-day international conference of women entrepreneurs being organised by the Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of Andhra Pradesh, the State government and the South Asian Women Development Forum. They discussed at length the problems faced by them with regard to funding and marketing.
At a panel discussion, SIDBI General Manager for Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad G Sampath Kumar said the development bank was offering term loans and working capital loans for entrepreneurs under various schemes.
Business analyst from Surge Impact Patrick Widmann said there were several innovative funding opportunities that include crowd funding for young entrepreneurs.
