Karur Vysya Bank (KVB) has reported a net profit of ₹73 crore for the quarter ended June 2019, up 59 per cent, compared to the ₹46 crore it clocked during the corresponding quarter of the earlier fiscal. Net interest income has, however, remained flat at ₹584 crore, while non-interest income rose 7 per cent during the quarter to ₹270 crore (₹255 crore).
Operating profit slipped to ₹445 crore (₹460 crore) and core fee income declined by 4 per cent to ₹168 crore (₹161 crore). Total business of the bank increased 5.17 per cent year-on-year to ₹1,10,893 crore, while gross and net NPAs stood at 9.19 per cent and 4.94 per cent, respectively.
