Housing finance regulator National Housing Bank (NHB) has decided to increase the refinance limit for eligible housing finance companies (HFCs) to ₹30,000 crore for July 2018 to June 2019.
This is much higher than the ₹24,000 crore refinance limit set initially for the period under review.
The latest NHB decision will increase the availability of funds to the eligible HFCs, an official release said.
Of the earlier set limit of ₹24,000 crore, the NHB has till date sanctioned ₹8,835 crore.
