Navratri is a more than a mere festival for the State of Gujarat. Business usher during the nine-day long celebrations and colour adorn the streets. Markets are packed and textile shops are lively, with the public requesting the shopkeepers to show them more attractive attires, especially the Chania Choli. However, the Covid-19 pandemic has played spoilt-sport. Major garba organisers are unable to do so fearing the surge in the number of coronavirus cases in the State.
