Kerala, a state with 2-3 per cent of the total country’s population accounts for over 50 per cent of the daily increase in cases nationwide. The State has been reporting over 22,000 new Covid infections for the last three days now. No other state in India is even close to the 10,000-mark. The Centre has deputed a six-member high-level team to help the State tackle the situation.
