NaVIC -- Navigation with Indian Constellation -- is India’s own satellite navigation system and it has been in operation since 2018. Recently, the Centre has asked mobile phone manufacturers to ensure all phones in India NaVIC-compatible. What made the Indian government to make bring in its own navigation system?
