A Hyderabad resident has announced ₹2 lakh cash reward for identifying the miscreants responsible for the death of an elephant in Mallapuram in Kerala.
BT Srinivasan, general secretary of United Federation of Resident Welfare Association in Hyderabad, tweeted, “I want to offer a reward of ₹2 lakh from my personal savings to the person who gives information about the miscreants who made a pregnant elephant eat a pineapple stuffed with crackers.”
The incident has shocked the nation and people have taken to social media to express their anguish about the ghastly incident.
Following national outrage over the incident, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Union Environment and Forest Minister Prakash Javadekar have assured strict against against those responsible for the death of the elephant.
