Tax collection

The Minister said strict measures have to be taken to mop up tax revenues. An amount of ₹36 crore has been collected from the people who were issued warrant.

“Notice must be issued to those who have not paid tax and if they don’t obey, warrant should be issued against them,” the Minister said.

Parameshwara instructed the officials to make public a list of top 100 defaulters from every zone. They should not be given any exemption. He also said notice should be issued to the organisations that defaulted on payment building taxes.

Steel bridge

Construction of steel bridge will be taken up with due suggestions from the public. The estimated cost of the previous plan and DPR will be made public for discussion, Parameshwara said.

The white topping work that has been going on for the last two years has not been completed in several areas. The on-going white topping works has to be completed by May this year. Complete the tender process for new construction works as well, he told the civic body officials.

Parameshwara wanted priority to be given to waste management. Officers were instructed to pay the dues to tenderers and ensure smooth functioning of waste management. On the construction of waste to energy plant, the Minister said it would be set up by the end of this year.
