Aerospace firm Boeing is tapping start-ups to find solutions for some complex solutions in autonomous, unmanned systems, industrial internet of things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning and advanced manufacturing.
The firm has called for applications from Indian start-ups for its HorizonX India Innovation Challenge 1.0, to work on the challenges mandated for them.
The challenge is aimed at helping seed stage companies quickly mature their product offerings by providing access to the accelerator to Boeing’s aerospace partners.
Boeing India President Pratyush Kumar said the 22-week programme is open for start-ups across the country.
Tech incubator T-Hub would organise regional outreach events in Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Chennai. The roadshow will culminate in Hyderabad to pick the finalists.
The finalists will get funding to take part in a three-month accelerator programme at T-Hub.
“They will get mentorship from experts from Boeing and industry to shape their ideas,” he said.
The winners of the competition will also get an opportunity to engage with Boeing on future partnerships.
