The Madras Management Association is organising the 13th MMA All India Management Students’ Convention on October 31 and November 1. The theme of the convention this year is ‘World class: Made in India’.
The Convention seeks to provide an insight into the strategies required for Indian industry to build world class Made-in-India brands and also manufacture world class made-in-India products. Best practices will be drawn from successful brands and manufacturing organisations. This will help draw lessons for young aspiring managers, who are on the threshold of an exciting management career, to understand the determinants of future corporate success in a global context and the mindset required by them, says a press release from MMA.
Group Captain R Vijayakumar, Executive Director, MMA, said, “We believe that this forum will not only provide management students with the opportunity to prove their mettle, but will also give them the all-important opportunity to interact and learn from industry leaders and practicing management professionals. Beyond these aspects, the convention also allows for top management institutes in the country to benchmark themselves with the best. We expect to see participation from over 2,000 management students nationally.”
The Convention will have the final rounds of contests organized for management students, including Chanakya – The Mastermind (Best management student of the year), a paper presentation, business plan , The Big Debate and a management quiz.
Raju Venkatraman, President, MMMA and Founder Chairman & CEO, Medall Healthcare,
B Santhanam, Managing Director, Saint-Gobain Glass India and Ashish Mishra, Managing Director, Interbrand India, Mumbai, will address the delegates during the inaugural session.
Ravi Viswanathan, Head, Chennai Operations, Tata Consultancy Services, will deliver the valedictory address. Other speakers who will be addressing the delegates are Venky Rajgopal, MD, Indian Terrain, Ravindra Shanane, Vice President, Marketing, Mahindra & Mahindra, Partho Chakravarty, Brand Team Head, M&M, Vineet Taneja, CEO, Micromax, R Raghuttama Rao, MD, ICRA Management Consulting, K Srinivasan, MD, Carborundum Universal, M M Singh, Chief Mentor, Maruti Suzuki and K S Ramesh, Director, Suguna Foods.
