The Kerala Chamber of Commerce and Industry has welcomed the Government's decision to extend the time limit for the electronic filing of goods entering and exiting from the State through the Commercial Tax Check Posts till November 1.
Mr Deepak L. Aswani, Chairman of the chamber, said in a release that there are many technical issues that have to be sorted out before implementing the e-filing system. Many consigners are from rural who do not have computer and internet facilities.
There are many other issues relating to the e- token system which differ from consignments, consignees, importer and exporter. More discussions should be initiated by the Commercial Taxes Authorities with the trade and industry, transporters and other bodies to sort out difficulties.
