Mendu Rammohan Rao, former Dean of the Indian School of Business (ISB) has been conferred the AIMA Kewal Nohria Award for Academic Leadership in Management Education for 2013. At present, Rao is professor emeritus and executive director of the Centre for Analytical Finance at the ISB. A former Director of the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, he taught at the University of Rochester, Tennesse and New York University.
According to a citation from the All India Management Association (AIMA), which conferred the award, Rao has been much sought after by companies for management counsel. He has served on boards of many organisations including Bharat Electronics Limited, Satyam Computer Services and Mazagaon Docks Ltd.
