The International Institute of Information Technology (Hyderabad) will conduct artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning training programmes for IT professionals with an experience of 3-4 years. To be offered over the weekends in a span of four months, the courses are targeted at those who want to upgrade their skills.
“We have tied up with Talent Sprint to roll out the programme. We see a lot of interest on exclusive courses on artificial intelligence and machine learning from IT professionals. We have decided to work with Talent Sprint to scale up the programme. While we focus on the teaching aspect, Talent Sprint will take care of implementation,” PJ Narayanan, Director of IIIT-Hyderabad, has said.
Announcing the details of the programme here, he said the courses were not aimed at entry level as it required certain knowledge. “It is ideal for people with 3-4 years of experience,” he said.
The 15-week course spread over four months is likely to be priced in the range of ₹1.5-2 lakh.
“While some of the top engineering institutions in the country have strong academic and research programmes in AI and ML, the number of engineers that graduate from them is still quite negligible in comparison to demand in these areas from the industry,” an IIIT-H executive said.
