IIMK Live, an Entrepreneurship Development Centre of IIM Kozhikode, hosted a technology start-up summit at the campus.
It was aimed at bringing technology and entrepreneurs together to contribute to an ecosystem where innovation makes a national impact and benefits society.
Debashis Chatterjee, Director, IIM Kozhikode, in his inaugural address said, “Focussing on purpose and realising possibilities become critical for innovations to make impact. Technology is an important tool but applying it to solve larger problems demands a keen observations of people.” He said, “At IIM Kozhikode, we have always eyed national problems to find innovative solutions.”
“Collaboration and co-operation are the keys to a successful innovation ecosystem. Silicon Valley model cannot just be fit but has to be adopted for India. This event is a testimony to how we attempt to bring various stakeholders on a platform for the benefit of entrepreneurs,” said Keyoor Purani, Executive Director of IIMK LIVE,
Saji Gopinath ofKerala Start-up Mission and Jitendre Minhas of IAMAI Startup Foundation also spoke at the summit.
