The University Grants Commission (UGC) has approved a special assistance programme grant worth Rs 8 crore to the University of Hyderabad (UoH) to boost its research efforts.
The university has identified six schools/departments/centres for the utilisation of the grant. These include Biotechnology & Bioinformatics, Centre for Advanced Studies in Electronics Science and Technology, Biochemistry, Plant Sciences, English and Chemistry.
