Employees and officers of the Income Tax Department are to observe a nation-wide strike today to press for filling up of vacant posts. The government’s tax collection targets were hampered by inadequate personnel, the Joint Council of Action of Income Tax Associations, an umbrella body of income tax employees and officers, has informed.
