Hyundai will launch the new Santro in New Delhi. Expected to be priced in the range of ₹3.7 lakh to ₹4.5 lakh, the new model will also have a CNG variant. It is nearly 20 years and a month after the original made its global debut, and about five years since it stopped producing the first generation of the model.

The Supreme Court will decide today as to when the petitions, seeking review of its Sabarimala verdict allowing entry of women of all age groups into the temple, will be listed for hearing. A five-judge constitution bench had held that women of all age groups should be allowed entry inside Kerala’s Sabarimala Temple. The court had on October 9 declined an urgent hearing on a plea that had contended that the five-judge Constitution bench verdict lifting the ban was “absolutely untenable and irrational“.

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan is likely to make a statement about the Turkish investigation into the killing of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi at his weekly speech on Tuesday to members of his ruling AK Party. On Saturday, after weeks of denying any involvement in Khashoggi's disappearance, Saudi Arabia said the 59-year-old died in a fistfight at its consulate in Istanbul. The crisis has shaken Western confidence in the world's top oil exporter and its de facto ruler, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Saudi Arabia's three-day investment summit Future Investment Initiative conference kicks off in Riyadh. The killing of critic and Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi has prompted several journalists, investors, and CEOs to withdraw from the conference. The kingdom has sought to defuse the crisis with an about-face admission on Saturday that the journalist died in its consulate in Istanbul. But that has failed to stem an exodus from the summit.

Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh is in Israel to forge closer ties in key sectors such as agriculture, horticulture and dairy. Singh, accompanied by a delegation of officials, reached Israel on a five-day visit beginning Sunday evening. He is set to meet Israel's President Reuven Rivlin on Tuesday. Also, a seminar -- Investment opportunities in Punjab --  has been organised. The Punjab Agriculture University is expected to sign MoUs with the Tel Aviv University and the Galilee Institute for cooperation today.
