President Ramnath Kovind will visit Mumbai on Friday to launch the Sadbhaav Utsav. He will participate in the wellness festival organised on the occasion of the 100 year anniversary of the Yoga Institute. The programme will be held at Mumbai’s MMRDA ground.

Members of the AgriGold Customers and Agents Welfare Association will launch a hunger strike from December 28, if government fails to return the deposits immediately, said association honorary president Muppalla Nageswara Rao. Earlier, Mr. Nageswara Rao said as the government failed to render justice to lakhs of AgriGold victims despite repeated appeals.

The first Cabinet meet of the newly appointed Rajasthan Government will be taking place on Friday. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot justified the allocation of portfolios, saying it was a “well-thought out” exercise and has been “welcomed” by the people. The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) will be conducting a board meeting on Friday to decide upon the fares of its Aqua line. This comes a week after the NMRC was given the approval to launch its commercial operations on the new metro rail line.

Heli-tourism will be re-launched on Friday in Vishakapatnam as it gears up for the three-day annual Visakha Utsav. This comes nearly 11 months after Pawan Hans agreed to take up the project. Though the service was expected to have commenced during the summer of 2016, the change of the land, identified for construction of the helipad, had caused the delay at that time.
