Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari will launch various development projects under the Sagarmala and Bharatmala projects worth Rs 3,685.35 crore in Visakhapatnam. The minister, who is in the city on a two-day visit for the annual review of the country’s port sector as well as the Sagarmala and Bharatmala projects, will inaugurate two new post Panamax Rail-Mounted Quay Cranes and allied equipment at the Visakhapatnam Container Terminal Private Limited.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh will start a three-day visit to Bangladesh. During the visit, the minister will meet Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and discuss various bilateral issues. The Rohingya issue is also expected to figure in the meeting.

The board of Fortis Healthcare, which is in the process of finding a new investor, will meet to consider raising funds through issue of securities on a preferential allotment basis. The company has received binding bids from Malaysia’s IHH Healthcare and Manipal-TPG combine on July 3, the last day of submission of fresh round of bids called by a newly constituted board.

On a day's visit to Hyderabad, BJP chief Amit Shah will take stock of the party’s preparations for the simultaneous polls to Lok Sabha and Telangana Legislative Assembly. The BJP plans to go it alone in Telangana in the 2019 elections. The party contested in alliance with its estranged ally TDP in 2014.

Novak Djokovic will play Rafael Nadal in the Wimbledon semifinals today. Rafael Nadal edged Juan Martin del Potro in a Centre Court thriller that lasted 4 hours and 48 minutes to reach his sixth Wimbledon semifinal. Djokovic, who leads his epic head-to-head rivalry with Nadal 26-25, reached his eighth Wimbledon semi-final after a stormy Centre Court clash against Nishikori.
