Telangana Chief Minister and President of TRS K. Chandrasekhar Rao, on March 21, is likely to announce the names of TRS candidates that will contest in the upcoming elections. The candidates will likely contest from 16 Parliamentary constituencies. The nominations will be filled on March 22 and 25.

Karnataka Congress Committee President Dinesh Gundu Rao is likely to announce the list of Congress candidates for the state, on March 21. This move comes after Janata Dal (Secular) and Congress agreed on a seat sharing agreement after long discussions. The JD(S) will contest on 8 seats and congress on 20 seats.

EU Leaders are expected to meet on Thursday to decide if they can offer a temporary extension  of EU membership to the United Kingdom. This move will not delay Brexit which is scheduled on May 29. The exit of Britain from European Union however will depend upon the UK Parliament’s vote on March 25.

The last Supermoon of 2019 will appear on March 21, Thursday. This Supermoon falls on the same day of that of Spring Equinox. Hence, this Supermoon is called ‘ Super Worm Equinox Moon’. According to Timeanddate.com, the moon will be spotted at 7:12 am on Thursday, in India.

BSNL under the smart city project initiative is likely to launch its first smart pole on March 21. Nokia will deploy the smart pole project across the country. The 12-meter smart pole will be integrated with  smart LED lighting systems, CCTV cameras and environmental sensors providing information pertaining to temperature and pollution levels. The government has planned to erect the pole in 30 smart cities.
