The Commerce Ministry will hold consultations with a cross-section of people including academia and trade over two days on issues such as agriculture, services and e-commerce ahead of the WTO mini ministerial in March. India will firm up its stand after inputs from stakeholder consultations.

A two-day conference on agriculture will open today in New Delhi. The aim of the conference, “Agriculture 2022 – Doubling Farmers’ Income” is to identify various critical issues relating to agriculture and farmers’ welfare and finding appropriate solutions. The focus will be on the human element of this primary sector, that is, the farmer.
