From today, Jackfruit will be the official fruit of Kerala, a decision taken on proposal from the State agriculture department. Kerala government will make an official statement in order to promote the Kerala jackfruit that is known for its distinctive aroma and taste. The total revenue from the fruit is expected to around Rs 15,000 cr.
