Five things to watch out for today

Sikkim will be declared the only organic farming State in the country during the Prime Minister Modi’s visit today. Fifty-five farmers from all over Sikkim will display their organic produce during the PM’s visit to Saramsa Gardens near Gangtok. Modi arrived in Sikkim yesterday, when he declared open the Sikkim Organic Festival at Ridge Park in Gangtok.

Travis Kalanick, the co-founder and CEO of taxi-hailing service Uber, will address students of IIT-Bombay and share his own success story with them today. Kalanick will share the stage with over 40 CEOs and founders of start-ups.

In Delhi, the airspace will remain out of bounds for commercial flights from IGI airport for more than an hour every day beginning today in view of the Republic Day celebrations. The airlines have already been intimated about the airspace closure through a NOTAM (Notice to airmen) issued by the Airports of Authority of India.

Lenovo’s K4 Note, launched earlier this month and priced at ₹11,999, will go on sale today. Lenovo has received an ‘overwhelming response’ for the K4 Note VR bundle, and had to shutdown registrations ahead of schedule. While the ANTVR headset costs ₹1,299, it is also available as a bundle with the Note, priced at ₹12,499.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the BJP’s campaign for the upcoming Assembly polls in Assam by addressing a rally in Kokrajhar today. Alongside him at the rally will be leaders of the Bodo People’s Front, with whom the party has more or less firmed up a pre-poll alliance.
