The world’s oldest serving aircraft carrier, INS Viraat, will be decommissioned today. Viraat has served the Indian Navy for the last 30 years. It is the last serving British-built ship in India. Viraat was originally commissioned by the British Navy as HMS Hermes in 1959. She was decommissioned in 1984.
Two prime assets of Kingfisher Airlines, Kingfisher House in Mumbai and Kingfisher Villa in Goa, will be auctioned today by banks to recover their loans to the long defunct airline started by businessman Vijay Mallya.
Music Broadcast Ltd’s IPO will open for subscription to the public today. The company, popularly known as Radio City, has launched the offer at a price band of ₹324-333 apiece. The IPO is a combination of a fresh issue of shares for up to ₹400 crore and an offer for sale of up to 26,58,518 shares (totalling ₹88.52 crore at the upper end of the price).
