The monthly season ticket hike for suburban railway segment may be reviewed. "The Railway Minister has assured us that the monthly season ticket decision will be reconsidered and a decision taken within 2-3 days," BJP leader from Maharashtra, Kirit Somaiya, said here today, after meeting the minister.
However, Somaiya avoided specifying whether they are demanding a full rollback. "Rollback is a bad word used by Congress politicians," he said.
"We have sought improved safety, security, and better services for Maharashtra in the long-term, all of which will be attended by the Railway Minister," Somaiya added.
