Host -Kerala’s first integrated B2B store for Hotels, restaurants, cafes (Horeca), caterers and bakeries opened in Kochi on Wednesday.
The hypermarket for the state’s F&B industry spread across 24000-sq-ft, two-storey facility was inaugurated on NH bypass by Hemant Oberoi, celebrity chef and Owner of O B Hospitalities.
“Host is not just the first Horeca store in the State but also has introduced the cash-and-carry wholesale concept for the first time in the industry, as prevailing in the West. The company targets all types of outlets in the field including cafeterias, home bakers, hostels, canteens, caterers, restaurants, star hotels and resorts and offer best price advantages unheard of in the industry,” said PT Antony, Managing Director, Cochin Trade Links and Choice Specialty Food Products, the promoter of Host.
“The state’s first Horeca outfit will cater to the burgeoning F&B industry in Kerala and expects to achieve a sale of Rs 125 crore the first of year operations. The USP of this concept is price where the products are offered at the most competitive rates,” he said.
Various domestic and global F&B brands can also launch their products, make them familiarize with the chefs across the State and showcase new trends in hotel kitchens, he added.
