L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad has fixed the minimum fare at ₹10 and the maximum at ₹60.

In line with the Central Metro Act, the Metro Rail Administrator (Concessionaire – L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Ltd) has fixed the fares.

Smart cards Announcing the fares, it said that the token or smart card can be purchased at any station from November 29.

However, it is also launching the sale of smart cards at some of the Metro stations for the convenience of passengers from November 26 onwards from 10 am to 5 pm.

Smart cards will be sold at ₹200 each with ₹100 as initial top-up amount for travel and ₹100 towards security deposit.

The card allows hassle-free travel experience and the metro is encouraging the public to use the same and a special discount of 5 per cent is given to smart card users.

“We are committed to providing the best-in-class Metro Rail travel experience to the people of Hyderabad” the metro said in a statement.

The phase one of 30-km stretch between Nagole and Miyapur will be open for public use from Wednesday after Prime Minister Narendra Modi flags off the project on Tuesday.
