India will gift one more Interceptor Coast Guard boat to Seychelles, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on Wednesday.
The announcement for gifting the Interceptor to Seychelles was made by the Prime Minister in a statement to the media after a meeting with the visiting President of Seychelles, James Alix Michel.
“In March, I had announced that we would gift a second Dornier aircraft to Seychelles. I am pleased that we have completed the process quickly and signed the agreement today,” the Prime Minister said.
Modi added that the bilateral agreement for cooperation on blue economy is a huge step forward in the relationship between the two countries and in promoting sustainable ocean economy in the region.
“We look forward to cooperating in space, including in the areas of managing land and marine resources, fisheries advisory, weather forecasting and disaster management,” the Prime Minister added.
