Sanitaryware and lighting solutions company, Jaquar group has expanded its Bhiwadi plant for lighting in Rajasthan with an investment of ₹150-crore.
The company has over 60 per cent share of the market in sanitaryware products and expects to reach the $1 billion turnover by 2022. During 2018-19, its turnover was ₹3,588 crore.
The plant had recently received the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Platinum certification for excellence in efficient and sustainable manufacturing by the United States Green Building Council. The entire expansion will be completed by the end of Q2 this year and will make it one of the largest faucet manufacturing plants in Asia.
“India is one of the key markets globally. Expansion of our plant will help us to increase our footprint,” Rajesh Mehra, Director and Promoter of the Jaquar group said.
