The number of patients getting discharged in Maharashtra is rising. on Wednesday 4,161 Covid patients were sent home from hospitals across the state. So far, 73,792 patients have been cured, said State Health Minister Rajesh Tope in a press statement.
On May 29, a record number of 8,381 patients were discharged on a single day and since then the graph of people getting cured of Covid has been rising, he said.
Out of the total patients discharged (4,161) on Wednesday, 3,530 patients are from Mumbai city, Mumbai suburb, Thane, Palghar and Raigad districts. So far, more than 50,000 patients have been cured in the two districts of Mumbai, Tope said.
The recovery rate of the patients in the state is around 51 per cent and the number of cured patients is higher than the total number of active patients currently undergoing treatment in the state. For the last several days, the recovery rate of corona patients in the state has been consistently at 50 per cent, the health minister added.
