FirstRide.in, a website for car buyers organised a ‘Helmet Safety Ride’ in Bangalore along with National Road Safety Organization, Bangalore City Traffic Police and 40 biker clubs.
The event was held at Cubbon Park with a motive to assist the city’s Traffic Police in its constant endeavour to make roads safer, according to a company statement.
The ride witnessed more than 600 bikers supporting the cause by riding for about 20 kilometers across the city and making people conscious of the importance of helmet usage and road safety, officials said.
Over 30 biker clubs and youth from various colleges joined this event organized by the Bangalore-based company.
There were also pillion drivers carrying placards with slogans related to the use of helmet and safety measures imprinted on them, the statement added.
