Microsoft plans to mentor and support start-up entrepreneurs in southern districts of Tamil Nadu, in partnership with Native Lead Foundation (NLF), a Madurai-based non-profit organisation. The decision follows the interaction between Kattayil Rajinish Menon, Director (Applications Ecosystem and Start-up Strategy), Microsoft, and entrepreneurs and students in the city recently. Entrepreneurs will be helped to generate ideas, given assistance through local mentors and experts, and lent support in marketing them. Sivarajah Ramanathan, Founder and Director of NLF, added that at least 50 powerful brands would be launched in the next three years through the venture. The launch of a web portal through which entrepreneurs will be able to interact with people in Microsoft is also being planned. Our Correspondent
