Budding entrepreneurs in Chennai will get an opportunity to network with top businesspersons at the 54-hour Start-up weekend being organised by PayPal. The online payment services provider will host the event from July 11 to 13 at its development centre here. It will bring together personalities such as Ranga Kanapathy, Director and India Head, PayPal Data Technology; and Arun Athiappan, CEO and Founder, Ticketgoose.com.
Anupam Pahuja, General Manager, PayPal Development Centers, India, said: “With its origins as a start-up, PayPal has grown to become a global leader in the payments industry today, and we are proud to help the new wave of aspiring entrepreneurs,” he said. Besides mentoring, each team at the Start-up Weekend will get $500 of credit on Google cloud platform to develop mobile applications, and $100 on Amazon Web Services.
