A day after the strike by the JSEB employees was called off, many parts of Hazaribagh district were still in darkness with the officials saying it would take a couple of days to restore power supply.
Power supply was restored in only half of the district while it would take time to restore normal supply in the whole of the district as repair work of transformers was on, officials of the Jharkhand State Electricity Board (JSEB) said here.
An official of the Drinking and Sanitation department told the media that repairs of the pumping machines were continuing to restore drinking water supply in Hazaribagh town and its surrounding areas. Now water is as being supplied through tankers, he said.
The power men’s three-day strike was called off yesterday.
