The Directorate of Extension Education, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University is implementing a government-sponsored scheme on ‘Market-led extension activities under Marketing Research and Information Network (MRIN).’
The main objective of the training is to impart knowledge on modern agricultural technologies towards sustainable farming, exposure on marketing techniques, price and market related information of agricultural commodities to farmers and other stakeholders.
The total number of trainings under the scheme is 65. Of this, 60 would be given to farmers and the rest to the officials.
As many as 1500 farmers and 100 officers will be trained under this programme at the Farm Varsity here and 14 Krishi Vigyan Kendras of TNAU.
P Muthiah Manoharan, Professor & Head, Department of Market Extension, will be the Principal Investigator, a farm university release said.
