The Telangana Government has decided to implement the crop loan reschedule scheme with immediate effect.
Briefing newspersons after the cabinet meet here today late in the evening, the Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said the waiver will cover even gold loans.
The Telangana Government will have to take on the burden of Rs 19,000 crore towards crop loans.
In a series of decisions, the Cabinet also decided to implement Central level salaries for the State staff.
He reiterated his decision to crackdown on illegal constructions. Rao said he too was open to talks with his Andhra Pradesh counterpart N Chandrababu Naidu to resolve issues between the two States.
The Cabinet took 43 decisions covering various sections.
