Attacking Samajwadi Party chief, UP Agriculture Minister Anand Singh’s son Kirtivardhan, who recently joined BJP, today alleged that he had to give a bribe to meet Mulayam Singh Yadav in 2004 though he was a party MP.
“In 2004, when Yadav was Chief Minister, I had to give Rs 5000 in a packet to his personal secretary to meet him in the capacity of MP,” Singh told reporters here yesterday. Samajwadi Party spokesman Rajendra Chowdhury, however, denied Singh’s allegation.
The former MP accused Mulayam of propagating dynastic politics. “He is the biggest example of dynastic politics in the country. All major members of his family are enjoying benefits of the government,” Singh alleged.
Replying to a question, he said he always had the blessings of his father and that he would contest Lok Sabha polls if he gets a ticket from BJP.
