BHEL-Electroporcelains Division has renovated the government ITI’s electrical lab at a cost of Rs 8 lakh under its CSR scheme. BHEL-EPD procured and installed 28 electrical panel boards, reconditioned the electrical motors and also provided a face-lift to the electrical laboratory. About 100 electricians of the current batch and future batches will be benefited by the said renovation.
The Electrical Laboratory at Govt. ITI, Peenya was inaugurated and handed over by Manoj Kumar Varma, General Manager In-Charge (CBU) along with D Raja Babu, General Manager (EPD) to K N Kempagowda, Principal of the institute, in the presence of CSR Committee Members of BHEL-EPD and local authorities.
Manoj Varma urged the ITI officials to maintain the laboratory so that apprentices could utilise the resources to enhance their practical knowledge and, thereby, contribute to the realisation of the 'Skill India' campaign. The Govt ITI, Peenya authorities commended BHEL for their support and conveyed their gratitude for the same.
